Mail Manager Related To

There is the feature to attach an email to a related contact/account or any module record that has that specific email sender as its related email.
Is there a way to attach an email to a random module without the sender's email defined in the module's email field?

This is kind of essential as it's going to solve a lot of issues.
for example, if you receive multiple emails from vendors and an account's contacts for a specific project, and you want to attach all those emails to that project, right now, I do not see any way of doing that. A project might have dozens of related emails from dozens of people/contacts.
Also, another issue I see is that if a contact's email is connected to let's say 10 projects and 10 other modules, it will literally list all of these records in the mail manager RelatedTo sidebar (to the Right). is there a way to make this a drop down? or if my above question is possible, can we make a manual search for the record to attach it to?
