TUI grid inline edit does not respect currency format

Say I have my currency formatted like this:
€ 1.234,56
and I have a field containing currency in the TUI list view, that I want to edit inline. I would expect to be able (and required) to enter amounts with the currency formatting I set as a preference, but in stead I am bound to 'computer style' formatting, so no thousands separator and a dot as the decimal separator. That feels counter intuitive to me.
