I had no trouble rendering the book.
Agree with eval=FALSE to prevent reinstalling eesectors.
The edit to packrat.lock is a terrible violation of the 'don't edit by hand' commandment, but I'll let it slide.

It seems the only way to do this is to manually edit
/packrat/packrat.lockdespite packrat's documentation discouragement.
