User Story:

As a OSCAL content creator, I need to know how to 1) tailor an existing baseline or 2) create a new baseline representing a collection of selected controls. I need to have access to documentation that guides me step-by-step through these two use cases.

Goals:

  • Documentation is provided that walks a content creator through tailoring an existing Profile, to include adding and removing controls, and customizing parameter labels and values.
  • Documentation is provided that walks a content creator through creating a new Profile, to include selecting and customizing controls, detailing groupings of controls, and customizing parameter labels and values.
  • Documentation provides links to Profile documentation on the data elements used in constructing a profile.

Dependencies:

  • General Profile documentation explains the data elements used to construct an OSCAL Profile.

Acceptance Criteria

  • A walk through is provided that illustrates tailoring of an existing profile using all available Profile features.
  • A walk through is provided that illustrates creation of a new profile using all available Profile features.
