Just to add my two cents: While it is fairly normal on Windows to have a launcher, and it is almost needed to provide easy updates, etc., it is almost unheard of to have a launcher like that on Linux. Linux users are also used to their operating system handling everything that your average launcher would do. Electron itself is also considered bloat by a lot (if not most) Linux users, and most of them would chase you with a pitchfork if you made them download a 56MiB launcher. Of course it would be optional anyways, but I feel like people are going to give you shit just for suggesting that they download an Electron launcher.

As a side note I think similar is true for MacOS which also has integrated updating mechanisms for standalone apps like ours.
