  • Wavebox Version: 4.83
  • Operating System & Version: Windows 10

Every time wavebox updates, I have to redo the Windows 10 taskbar settings to make it so the wavebox indicators stay in the task bar. Additionally, windows recognizes the indicators separately for "No unread items", "5 unread items", "8 unread items", etc.

This has been a problem on multiple computers for ~6 months, and this is the only app that does this. You can see the image below for an example of some of the icon duplication taking place.

I think actually that this is more of electron problem. I have seen this happen with other applications that is using electron but can't be 100% sure.

@nmat is right - I suspect it's something to do with the squirrel update process. There is an issue upstream (Squirrel/Squirrel.Windows#863) which suggests it could be the uppercase-ness of the .exe file.

My gut feel is changing Wavebox.exe to wavebox.exe is going to cause all kinds of problems, but I'll give it a try and see what happens :-/

I confirm the issue, anyway.
