Deprecated message and error after upgrading

We have upgraded to the latest code and now our uses are getting the attached deprecation message which is very concerning. And also the attached error.

Further testing has shown that the error does not occur in Moodle 3.9.10 but is introduced with the upgrade to Moodle 3.9.11

We have got rid of the error by finding the question that causes it and re-saving it. However the question is still not working correctly. When it is viewed and the green and white cog button is pressed, we get lots of JS errors.

Our user thinks that it is affecting quizzes that were open before the upgrade to 3.9.11 and closed after?
