Issue

To have a better understanding which features are important for players and should be improved, it would be interesting to see how many players are using which feature of Premade Groups Filter.

Possible features to analyse:

• Which options are turned on/off
• Uses advanced expression query
• Length of advanced expression query
• Uses PGF for PvP or PvE

Suggestions

Wago Analytics

Wago offers analytics for addons as a beta feature.

Pro: It is ready and easy to use.
Con: Only 5% of addon downloads come from Wago and even fewer people will use Wago Analytics.

Keywords URL Parameter

We could send statistics using the link to the keywords page. We could create a binary format all possible values and encode it into an integer or base64 and pass it as a query parameter. To gather the data, routing could be done via a simple redirect service that collects the parameter and stores it into a database.

Pro: We could reach more players than with Wago as there are about 50 requests per day on the page. Non-instrusive.
Con: Implementation is a lot of work. Also, players using the keywords link are most likely pro players using different features than the average player resulting in a skewed picture.

Survey

Ask player to fill out a survey by presenting a link.

Pro: We could ask specific questions.
Con: As much fun as all the other survey popups and emails.
