Background from Barry:

  1. I'm trying to report on how many of each "resources" are being downloaded from the landing page. I can see that of the 3,500+ people going to the employer page that 600+ are downloading material, but I'd like to go one step further and see how many of each resource are being downloaded. The dozen plus downloadable pdf's don't show up on the site content or in-page analytics statistics.

@noahmanger

  • can you confirm that this is the page of downloads that I am looking at to track? https://myra.treasury.gov/employers/resources/
  • Is this the only page?
    I am explicitly asking, because I am not familiar with the content on the site -- I want to make sure that I am not missing anything.

Oh good question. That's one, and then there's one for individuals too: https://myra.treasury.gov/individuals/resources/

Thank you! That is helpful.
I will work towards doing it for both pages.

Another question... do you want them tracked as page views or as events?

What's easier? I don't think it matters, but maybe a question for Barry.

I'm used to seeing these setup as Goals and then looking at the Conversion reports. Not sure if we lose anything by looking at them as pageviews.

This was setup in the same way that employer resources were setup, but it doesn't seem to be registering. I am going to take another look into this.
