As we begin to support hub infrastructure for other communities, we will need to balance the time of each of our team members in a way that distributes work and makes our support of hubs efficient. There will likely be a non-linear model that answers "how many hubs can our team support at this moment in time?" We should understand this question because it will have a big impact on our sustainability model, as well as how to think about growing our team (or our sales efforts!).
Expected timeline
I think that this will only become clearer once we actually start running several hubs for people. We'll need to develop a process as a team for operating/supporting those hubs (#306#298) and then refine that process as our team and number of hubs grows.
I suspect that we won't have a clear picture of this for several months. What if we set a few checkpoints:
1 months after we hit 5+ hubs (to get our sea legs and understand any major changes that should be made)
3 months (after we've been running a couple of hubs for people and had a clearer picture)
9 months (we should have a pretty good answer to this question given our current structure)
Steps to complete this goal
Have check-ins at each of the following targets:
1 months after we hit 5+ hubs (to get our sea legs and understand any major changes that should be made)
3 months (after we've been running a couple of hubs for people and had a clearer picture)
9 months (we should have a pretty good answer to this question given our current structure)
Synthesize our learning in the documentation

I'm going to close this one, because I think that it's a bit out-dated, and we have other plans for estimating capacity now that we're running hubs. Will follow-up in a new issue later on
