Support for new Steam Chat feature?

Valve released a new chat a few weeks ago:

It has new group chat settings, looks more like Discord now.
For example:
-Group chats can now have multiple text channels and voice channels.
-Steam media upload (pictures) and embedding of content.

Any idea if you will add support for this new chat?

Hi, that depends if the developer of the library (https://github.com/Philipp15b/go-steam) I use will update.
But I think the chance is slim, because latest update was in 2016.

Seems like there is a more up-to-date library at https://github.com/doctype/steam (not sure if it has support for that new chat yet)
If anyone wants to update the steam chat bridge to work with this new library, feel free to open a PR :)

@poVoq no not really. Latest changes from upstream are also already in v1.16.0

It looks like the developer of the (https://github.com/Philipp15b/go-steam) library has some instructions on how to update it to use the new SteamKit version. Can someone update go-steam to use the new SteamKit for matterbridge?

Steam chat support is blocking on Philipp15b/go-steam#94
At the moment matterbridge can not support steam anymore until this is fixed, this has now also been noted in the README and the wiki.
