Awesome app for rgb models, is there any way to get the app working for the non rgb models with just the fade effect???

I have a loq with a non rgb keyboard, my first complain is both the default keyboard backlight settings are way too bright, in fact brighter than my screen at night.
So keeping the backlight always on at night gives me headaches and is irritating especially while watching movies. It would be nice if the app would work with the non rgb models with just the fade effect, so it would only turn on when i press a key and then turn off after a second.
So annoyed to know tht lenovo couldn't add such a small and simple feature.
