New color scheme for timeseries plots

Have you considered - or maybe it is already possible - to have an adjustable color scheme?

On that note: where does the current color scheme come from? Have you considered using http://colorbrewer2.org/ ? I suggest to pick a qualitative color scheme with 9 classes, since that is the last one that is also "printer-friendly". For qualitative colors we're not going to get more than 4 for colorblind save...
