That's odd; it should be trying to use mpv for all links already, but I've only tested this on Linux -- are you perhaps running it on Windows or Macos instead?
And this would be a good time to mention that a friend basically made a complete replacement of the plugin as a separate program, which is less dangerous security-wise and a bit more robust -- https://github.com/steinuil/kameloso
...but that said, I have no idea how to actually use it... Should remind him to add a readme actually :-p
better late than never -- we had an opportunity to work on kamelåså, and now it is definitely a better alternative. Unlike the very-bad-idea plugin, kamelåså is much safer, and has a queue system, and better support for windows.
There is currently a small handful of things that very-bad-idea does better, but steinuil has some cool plans for kamelåså so that won't be true for long :>
Its readme doesn't yet mention that it needs ffmpeg and yt-dlp installed, so I'll just mention that if you're itching to try it out.
I would like to modify very-bad-idea plugin to make that if the link belongs to Youtube it is passed as parameter to mpv or vlc.
Thank you
