Can't upload any kind of files under/above Android 14

Model: Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G
OS: HyperOS 1.0.3.0UMOEUXM
Android Version: 14

Problem:
Can't upload any files to a chat. Neither pictures nor documents.

Steps to reproduce:

• Download WhatsApp Web from F-Droid
• connect it to Whatsapp via QR-Code
• open chat
• try to upload anything
• see that nothing happens

Educated guess:
I think it belongs to the new Android rights management introduced in Android 14. In my opinion WhatsApp Web needs an additional Right to "access any folder" or "acces any media".

Please implement this :).

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Will, check, in the meantime: Did you check if you can give the app permission to access storage manually via android app settings?
