This issue serves as a public announcement about the upcoming removal of the EventStore based I/O model which has been marked as deprecated in #378 (podio v00-16-03). The removal will happen before the v01-00 release of podio. We plan to do this as the last step towards that, i.e. there will be a pre-release, where the only thing left to do for the release will be the removal of the EventStore and all related components.
