Fancy countdown widget freezes at 59 seconds

I have the fancy countdown on my dashboard and it consistently freezes at 59 seconds every time the page is loaded.

Thank you for reporting this. Unfortunately, right now I do have very limited time to look into this. However, if you want to propose a change to address this, I would happily accept a PR.
