Data of "Unpacking China’s Wolf Warrior Diplomacy"

Summary

This repository offers a Wolf Warrior Diplomacy (WWD) index derived from textual data based on Lim, Ito, and Zhang (2024).

Method

The measurement based on sentiment analysis was conducted using a dictionary-based approach as outlined by Wang and Ku (2016). The measurement using the latent semantic scaling (LSS) method employed seed words from Brazys, Dukalskis, and Müller (2023). For details on LSS itself, please refer to Watanabe (2021).
