1.6 Save Style Button Disappeared?

Has anyone else noticed/experienced the same thing? Am I just blind but I can’t for the life of me figure out where the save style buttons gone to.

I see, the save button shows up only when you add a title. So we have to now manually copy and paste whatever prompt we have in the main area?

And also there is no way to append a saved style to the main prompt box? Or am I being a moron and missing something again?

Yeah me too i searched it , and i just found it
there is no apply button to send it to the prompt box
once its selected in your styles box , it is applied
you just need to select it to apply it

I'm sorry, but they just changed this for no good reason. It is definitely not an improvement. It was clear and obvious how it worked before, now it is confusing and difficult. Please put it back the way it was.

I usually don’t make a fuss about things and go along with what ever changes are introduced. This one however is a bit of a strange one and I do agree that the old save and add to prompt buttons were far easier. Just adding the two buttons back would make things far easier.

I still haven’t figured out how to add the saved prompt back to the main prompt box or save the current prompt without manually copying and pasting it all.

I do agree the previous workflow was much more userfriendly.
Why are such things so confusing now?

Just give people a choice to decide which look / workflow they prever.

I also noticed applying a style now often ends in just pasting the previous used style into the text2image field.

I like the ability to edit a style, etc. But how do you save current prompt to a new style?

ok, ... type your prompt in the styles dialog - in order to see the save button you have to give your prompt a name - then you can save it

yep, not a fan, theres already a vastly superior style editor extension that lets you see all your styles at once so you can copy and paste between then, the new editor is a downgrade

I too do not understand the logic here. We all now need to copy and paste both +prompt & -prompt to somewhere outside the program (like notepad), bring up the styles menu, then go back and forth to paste those back into the app, give it a name, and then save. This method compared to the previous method where all we had to do was type in a name and a click on the save button. Baffling logic.

This is pretty much where my head was at too. UI changes usually are to make life easier and the old method was just easy. I’m sure adding those two recall and save buttons would be relatively simple and hopefully it will be added back.

I've always edited styles using a text editor rather than the UI, but now the refresh button has been moved to the style editor. Not a fan of this setup at all. I'm with the mob. It was better before.

If the whole point was to clean up the interface so there are less buttons everywhere, why not add some keyboard shortcuts to do some of these things? Assuming such a thing is possible with web-ui..

Who wants that functionality now,
copy 2 files from the achieve (ui_prompt_styles.py, ui.py) to the modules folder, overwrite (make a backup of your versions if you want)
the changes partially taken from this and merged into the same files of 1.6.0
It's not merged into the Master branch yet

The changes add Apply Style button below Generate and to the Save Style Dialog itself
the Save style button moved to the Edit Style dialog along with Copy Main UI prompts button

So in order to save prompts one has to open that dialog, to press Copy prompts from the Main UI, enter a name and save it.

bring back the old save button workflow from main page please, the new editor is fine for 'editing' but a downgrade in terms of workflow

@jonwong666 this was already put back a while ago and is in the dev branch. Will be back with the next main branch update.

I would recommend consulting with UI/UX specialists before making any changes. This is a complete circus here.

Is this going to be back anytime soon?
It's such a downgrade to just remove buttons that people actually use, move them to another menu and just leave so much empty space in there for no good reason.
On top of that not even given the choice to users to change it back to how it was just feels like they are doing what they want and not actually thinking about it.

New user (as of today) who arrived at this page because I read a guide and saw a video, both of which used this feature. I still haven't figured out how to easily save a style on the new UI. Please change this back.
