The npm package dist for Angular 2 is precompiled. You can't install this package as is and use it.

@brandon-l-hedrick Hmm, just checked and the demo is working fine for me - https://github.com/Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/target-atjs-extensions/tree/master/demos/examples/angular2/directive
How exactly are you trying to use the extension?
Also, have you tried following the instructions from the corresponding Wiki page - https://github.com/Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/target-atjs-extensions/wiki/Angular2-Directive ?
