We built our first Miniscope.

But our Miniscope cannot be recognized by our PC. I changed the device ID according to the error message, but it still didn't work. I checked if the cable connecting DAQ and scope was shorted, and it may be Okay. I changed the USB cable. I confirmed that DAQ is plugged into USB3 port. I installed the software to two PCs and miniscope didn't work in the both PC.
Device manager does not recognize Miniscope as a camera.

Additionally, LED on the Miniscope does not turn on at all (three DAQ's green LEDs are on), and the PCB on the Miniscope gets hot to the touch.

Please give us opinions to solve this problem.

Sorry it didn't work out of the box!

Asking aloud, since I don't know - is there any kind of diagnostic mode we can run here to check for basic existence of the miniscope? or other way we could help this person? It seems like if the PC isn't recognizing the miniscope as a camera at all that it can't establish connectivity at all/the firmware on the scope can't boot correctly, but it also seems like the DAQ should at least show that it is alive/be able to tell us something?

What firmware did you use on the miniscope/what version of miniscope are we talking about? Also what error message are you talking about re: changing the device ID, one emitted by this software or one emitted by your OS? We will probably need to move this issue to one of the other repositories that have the hardware/firmware, but not sure which one without knowing whic miniscope/firmware you've made

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry for lack of some information.
We use a Miniscope V4 and purchased DAQ from LABmaker that is fully tested with the V4 firmware installed according to the website. So I don't know what firmware installed in this DAQ. All I can tell you about our DAQ is three green LEDs on the back of DAQ can turn on.
Error message is from software. Also, device manager on my OS does not recognize Miniscope as a camera.
