Text sits high in its container

I'm a designer working on the booking modernization project. When reviewing a few of our new components, I've noticed that we can't quite get the text vertically centered in their containers. This is especially noticeable on badges and tags.

We have tried adjusting the line-height of the containers to no avail. Can you help us find a solution that could center the text better, so we can reach a polished final look?
