Hello, I usually don't mind things like this but there is some mod that adds new mobs to the world. In the overworld, it's not all that annoying, but in the nether, it's unbearable. I'm literally bald now since I've torn out all my hair after trying to mine some ancient debris but these new mobs keep spawning with this insanely loud "DIINNNGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" or bell sound effect. Does anyone know which mod that does this, can I turn off the sound effect in a config file or something? The warning text is enough, I don't need my speakers blown up too.
Thank you in advance for helping me preserve my sanity. ;)

*Edit: I think the mod is Apotheosis? I searched online but couldn't find any info. I'd call it a bug given how intrusive the sound is. It would be awesome if it could be changed or edited in a config file, if anyone knows which one and/or how.
*Edit2: Removed silliness.

This annoyance is caused by apotheosis. I thought it was just an enchanting mod, but it also spawns affix-buffed bosses like diablo 3 for some reason. Also for some reason, it feels the need to be REALLY obnoxious about it.

To correct this oversight, you can go into this config file:

[server-base-directory]/config/apotheosis/adventure.cfg

About line 35, there is an option called B:"Announce Boss Spawns"=true. Change true to false and the annoyance will at least stop.

While you're there, you really REALLY should reduce the boss spawn rates by going down to about line 60. There you will see options laid out like:

dimension|odds|rules

Take whatever the odds are there are just whack them way down. By maybe half or more. For some reason the pack builders thought it appropriate that 1 out of every 50 endermen needs to be a boss by default. Do they not understand HOW MANY endermen spawn in the end? It's unreal.

Thank you so much for the information. This looks exactly like what I was looking for. :)
Gonna try this right away.

I just tried this, but unfortunately it didn't change anything. At least not in the overworld. I'll try restarting my computer, Minecraft and my brain and see if there's any difference.

Sounds have been disabled, and spawn rates have been reduced in 0.4.31.
