What happened?

Hello!

I've recently been having issues with youtube completely hanging chrome starting today (2024oct18) and was able to narrow it down to your "return youtube dislikes" (3.0.0.18) and "youtube redux" (3.5.0) extensions.

I've had zero issues before this forever so i'm not sure what changed or if you're aware (i've also sent a report to the YR dev email).

I can enable either extension separately without any issues, but if I enable both (even with "RYT compatibility" checked in YR settings) then it seems to make Chrome kill itself (100% cpu use, video/audio stops).

Just letting you guys know. I'm not sure if and who would be "responsible" for fixing this, but I thought I'd let both of the extension developers know.

(Any Youtube video is affected, but I just pasted one for a quick link.)

How to reproduce/recreate?

• Install "Return Youtube Dislikes"
• Install "Youtube Redux"
• Visit any youtube video. The video loads right up to when it tries to "populate" the "Like/Dislike" area, then Chrome eats 100% CPU and the page freezes.

Same here, was working fine yesterday and now it crashes and doesn't show the dislikes.

Can confirm, also occurs with Ungoogled Chromium (and presumably Chromium as a whole).

I have found it starts working again when the following Redux setting is disabled:

The developer, omnidev0, of YouTube Redux has said that they're pushing an update that will fix the compatibility issue!
