+ no more depth generation code in ELAS tooling
+ no more branching to switch between depth-from-disp and depth inputs
+ can directly compare fused disparity with input disparity and LIDAR disparity
+ may improve evaluation accuracy a little
- takes time to implement
- need to regenerate ELAS cache
