Atlas does not need to perform ranking, as both known consumers of results (AN and WMDA) re-order the match list according to their own users' requirements. Atlas only needs to generate the numeric scores and match probabilities that consumers can use to rank as they please.

This should reduce some overhead on matching/scoring, especially for large result sets.
