1. I have downloaded this epub:
http://www.epubbooks.ru/download.php?npp=3483
It is written in Russian (encoding cp1251 I think, but I'm not sure).
2. I have downloaded epub2pdf v0.5
3. I tried to convert it with command
epub2pdf.bat book.epub
Expected: pdf file with readable text
Observed (bug): pdf file without any cyrillic letter. There are only numbers,
colons, dots and latin letters.
Environment: Windows Vista 32bit, all common Russian (cyrillic) fonts installed.
As prof. programmer, I think you didn't pay a lot attention to encoding
problems. Probably the best way to fix is to convert to UTF-8, before
generating output pdf. Maybe it is wise to embed fonts also. In present time,
file size is not an issue, but usability and readability in all environments is.
Best regards!
