No support for UTF-8 text

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Convert any epub document containing UTF-8 characters. I used Polish text.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected is text readable. Now it's unreadable, with all non ASCII characters 
REMOVED. Neither ePub nor PDF are limited to ASCII charset.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

ePub2PDF v0.5, Ubuntu 10.10

Please provide any additional information below.
ePub files used for conversion are valid and verified, they contain unicode 
fonts needed by some readers. They display correctly in Adobe Digital Editions.
