I want to have "Force Composition Pipeline" enabled in nvidia-settings because I experience screen tearing whenever it is disabled. But the settings resets to the default whenever I reboot. I have seen a way to edit the default "Device" config when reading the documentation but I need to edit the "Screen" setting. Do you have any idea how? What command to I need to add to /etc/optimus-manager/xsetup-nvidia.sh to do so? Thanks!

As a temporary workaround as I couldn't find a way to assign custom screen settings, I added the command nvidia-settings --assign CurrentMetaMode="nvidia-auto-select +0+0 { ForceCompositionPipeline = On }" in xsetup-nvidia.sh. This is still a issue though.

I am also having this problem; I am not sure where the correct place to solve this is; here is the Arch Wiki recommendation:

Would be nice to have it - nvidia-settings command workaround worked until last utils upgrade. I don't know how to force FullCompositionPipeline into 10-optimus-manager.conf as it keeps rewriting my changes after reboot
