| Ok I just saw that there is the possibility to protect QR codes with an extra password. This is what I need. I thus close this discussion (with myself ;-) |

Hi, I recently started to protect my access to both Firefox and Thunderbird by setting a master password MP (after having attended a formation on security issues in my institution). If you don't know this, once set, the MP prevents any access to sensible information in Firefox and TB such as stored passwords (I was told it also encrypts them but I'm not sure of that). I consider the QR codes generated by Authenticator as a form of sensible information I want to hide (e.g., if someone access my computer).
Feature request: if the master password system is set in Firefox, and while the master password has not been correctly introduced, would it be possible to prevent the Authenticator-Extension to show any QR codes in the popup window?
P.S. I really love the way Authenticator-Extension simplifies OTP management in Firefox; congrats to the developers!
