To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to Github and dowload the newspack plugin
  2. Upload and install on a WordPress site.
  3. View error. Will not activate.

Try downloading the zip on the latest release
https://github.com/Automattic/newspack-plugin/releases/tag/v1.113.0
