Bug Description:

For Firefox browser, "e.paymentMethod is undefined" notice displayed after clicking "Place Order" with missing credit card fields on "Checkout" page.

Environment:

Woocommerce Version: WooCommerce7.7.0
WooCommerce Payments - 5.9.0-test-3
WordPress version: v6.2.1

PC:
Windows 10
Firefox (Version 113.0.1)

Steps To Reproduce:

1. Create any test site.
2. Install and activate all the required plugins.
3. Enable Split UPE with deferred intent creation using the WCPay Dev Tools.
4. Add regular product to cart and go to checkout as a guest.
5. Confirm that credit card payment method and fields are displayed.
6. Fill out all the Billing details.
7. Clicking "Place order" button with missing credit card fields.
8. Observe that, For Firefox browser, "e.paymentMethod is undefined" notice displayed after clicking "Place Order" with missing credit card fields on "Checkout" page.

• I have deactivated other plugins and confirmed this bug occurs when only WooCommerce plugin is active.
• This bug happens with a default WordPress theme active, or Storefront.
• I can reproduce this bug consistently using the steps above.

Tested on Windows 10 and Firefox 113 (by using BrowserStack 310ad-pb) with the latest stable WCPay version. This issue no longer exists.
I am seeing the correct error message Your card number is incomplete as shown below. Closing this issue.
