If a WordPress Post Type has a custom field, allow that field value to be used as a template tag in Post Output settings.
Why
In thinking about how we can use WordPress to interact more natively with the Fediverse, it would benefit us to use a different field other than the article excerpt when we post a Note.
We are thinking of using a custom field to store free-fork text, which could be used in the Note body before the link. So, instead of using ap_excerpt in the body, we would use social_intro or something like that instead. That would get included in the Note body that gets federated out.
How
I don't know too much about the internals of WordPress yet, but maybe there's a way to make field values accessible to the Post Content Editor?
