Safari Desktop Console Errors: Blocked a frame with origin - LastPass Extension #3495

Steps to reproduce

  1. Starting at URL: https://wordpress.com
  2. Open console in Safari

What I expected

No errors/warnings

What happened instead

Lots of errors:

[Error] Blocked a frame with origin "https://public-api.wordpress.com" from accessing a frame with origin "https://wordpress.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.
    (anonymous function)
[Error] Blocked a frame with origin "https://widgets.wp.com" from accessing a frame with origin "https://wordpress.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.
    (anonymous function)

I can't repeat this, testing with Safari 9.1 on OS X 10.11.4 and wordpress.com (production).

Might have been temporary errors — many changes since then. Feel free to re-open or make a new issue if you see this happen again.

Also, I assume the UI was still usable?

This was specific to having LastPass installed as a Safari extension - but this doesn't happen in other browsers with LastPass installed. We can leave this closed but this comment is for reference in case other's have the same issue.

Safari does not open any page from an iframe, if the user has not yet visited that page before
