Hello Yeah, i agree with you, AxOS is not what we can call unique for now. That's why i'm taking every suggestions. The first ambition I had for AxOS was to make it fully integrated with AI (basically everywhere), but then I realized that this isn't a "good thing" for multiple reasons. I still continued to maintain it and improve it in multiple aspects, but like you said it's not very different from the others distros except for a unique window manager. If anyone have an idea, I would love to discuss about it and realize it if it is possible. |

I have some ideas that i would like to share: (i dont know much about how a linux distro works exactly under the hood so the ideas could not be much practical but i'd like to share them) Some kind of check that would mostly prevent breaking the system during a system update.
Giving users full control and maybe also preventing harmful commands.
Making axos more secure.
If you think any of these ideas match your vision then i would be happy to help prototype any of these ideas! |

Hey guys, One thing I've noticed is that there are no big distros out there that ship a good and thought through hyprland (or in our case sleex) setup that is ready to use. Sure there are dotfiles, many many dotfiles, but these tend to break. We could be one of the first to ship an environment like this. The most common distros are common because they "just work", like Mint or Ubuntu or Fedora. Unlike them we can actually decide to start fresh with a new DE like sleex and be unique while still stable, if we do a good job with package management and configuration. Cheers |

it's very unique, i can't even figure out how to open or close programs, sometimes after a lot of clicking different things, a program that i didn't click on opens, and i can't close it |

I find it quite nice and refreshing having tested/contrib. to Garuda Hyprland and and ml4w, AxOS setup just works as expected, portals xdg work properly, no complaints so far (just one issue I've started). It feels unique among the flavors out there, gonna keep testing it and try to contribute more 😊💪🔥 |

It can be cool if AxOS support Android and/or Windows apps without emulator. |

If it helps, I thought the Axos + sleex, has a good angle, as a easy to get up and running hyprland based OS (especially for people who are new to all of these things) I'm looking to set it up tomorrow, I'll be installing vscode, intellj, devpod, and a couple of games)steam, customizing the terminal (possibly setup oh my zsh), discord, VLC etc Personally I hope it can complement productivity (keyboard focused workflow) and gaming (my goal is to replace windows) |

Why ext4 as default for disk instead of btrfs and then include timeshift that does wonders when combined with a btrfs filesystem. Now it can only rsync/copy stuff. . 😑 |

Hello,
I have been exploring axos recently and i feel that axos is pretty much pointless and like every other arch based distro. If the goal of axos is for simplicity and ease of use, then distro's like endeavoros and manjaro already makes it easy.
So, lets take this opportunity to discuss about ideas for making axos better! if you have any ideas, please do share it below!
