Hi,

some years ago we tried to work together to improve the underlying C++ file watcher code. In the end, we were giving up, because we needed faster progress and not really the javascript part.

Based on your project we were developing https://github.com/neXenio/panoptes. Pls have a look, especially we were detecting and solving some issues inside of the windows part and especially the Linux part has many issues, which leads to wrong/missing file change detections. For Windows mainly the panoptes/src/Windows.cpp is interesting and for Linux everything inside of the directory panoptes/linux besides of the Collector.cpp. I hope our project is helping to improve yours.

Best regards,
Trafo

Would it be possible to back port some of the fixes to nsfw? Or is panoptes more of a rewrite?
