As described in section 11.11.B of the BIFFUD Corporate Bylaws I hereby invoke
my rights as a sentient being who has not uploaded their mind to the cloud for consideration of this project application by the BIFFUD Hive Mind. With this
application I submit my interest in becoming a Member of BIFFUD and having this
project supported and adored by all who can 🤔.
Project Information
Project Name: SurroundSound
Project Haiku:
I left songs for you
In the alley, by the trash
Where we both belong
Project Analogy: It's like Pokemon Go, but for music discovery
Project Description
The basic idea is that it's an AR experience/game where people encounter music 'in the wild' that is somehow tagged and geolocated to a particular place. I imagine that it's two-sided: you can both leave music for people and encounter music that other people have left. There's potentially a bit of a geocaching feel here, but also a bit like the end of Journey where other people are helping you get through your day // the bleakness of life. I think it would be cool to be walking through a place and have your phone buzz and there's some sort of song that's tagged to a location with some annotation from another user about why they left the song there for you.
I don't know if the songs fight you, like Pokemon go. Or fight each other.
Bylaw Questions
How is this project a bad idea?
You will get excited for lovely, cool, chic music and then find that everyone in your town keeps leaving the same six Nickleback songs everywhere unironically.
If this project were a D&D Character, what alignment would it be and why?
Probably some good opportunities for unexpected song/place pairings.
How does this project make people thinking face emoji?
By causing them to ponder what is the relationship between music and place, and also to get FOMO/anxiety about not knowing how they always work together.
Who is involved?

Who will be the project's Comptroller?
tbd
Is this realistic to implement via BIFFUD?
idk?
Next Steps
Attend the next scheduled BIFFUD plotting session to plead your case.

How (often) will you be providing updates to the organization?
[Ideas are great, action is better! How often should we expect you
to be able to make progress? How would you like to report back]

Alignment (CHOOSE ONE):
Where are the lulz?
Probably some good opportunities for unexpected song/place pairings.
