Description

When these two settings are turned on VoiceOver becomes very loud, and it is not possible to change the volume on the device/headset itself.

Application

  • qtTeamTalk
  • TeamTalkAndroid
  • iTeamTalk
  • TeamTalkClassic
  • TeamTalkServer

Platform

  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Android
  • iOS
  • Linux

Expected behavior

It should be possible to change volume regardless of this combination of settings under preferences.

Actual behavior

VoiceOver is very loud and pressing any of the volume buttons on the phone does not change the volume. But it works to turn the voice processing off.

Steps to reproduce problem

  1. Under settings, sound setup enable the following two options:
    • Bluetooth A2DP Playback
    • Voice processing.

Connect a bluetooth headset. For my testing I used Airpods Pro 2. generation.

Shut down Teamtalk from the app switcher.

Open Teamtalk either via Siri or from the home screen.

Connect to a server.

Turn on VoiceOver
through the settings, accessibility, vo. screen.

Notice that vo. is very loud.

Try to change the volume via the volume buttons on the device. Expected: Volume change, observed: No change.

Turn vo. back off and change the settings under Teamtalk, settings, sound device setup

Turn voice processing off and launch vo. again.

Now the volume can be controlled as expected.
