Set list view for all pages

Maybe this already can be done, but I've not found a way. I prefer the "Showcase" layout for lists (ie movies, tv shows, etc.), but when I set it on the first page of the list, it only changes that page. If I move to page 2, it goes back to list view. I can change it on page 2, and it will stay that way, but then reverts on page 3 until I set it.

Is there a way to use the layout selected for page one as the layout for all pages thereafter? It seems like a worthwhile addition as users will generally set their view preference on the first page of a list.
