Rust bindings for MuSig module #28
Comments
Our plan was to jump directly to bindings for musig2 |
Is @jonasnick or someone else already working on the Rust bindings? |
@GeneFerneau Great to hear that you're interested in Rust bindings for MuSig2. I'm not currently working on the Rust bindings (nor am I planning to if someone else volunteers :) ) because the MuSig2 module is still a work in progress. I'll continue to iterate on the PR and try to improve its stability asap. |
Awesome! I'm definitely interested in writing the Rust bindings. Was asking to make sure I wasn't duplicating effort.
Sounds good to me, no rush from my end. I'll track your changes in your PR, and update my work accordingly. |
This sounds great, thank you! |
FYI there's a good chance I'll work on a MuSig2-using project very soon and in that case I will look into adding the bindings here. LMK if someone wants to synchronize. |
Is that module available in this project? Or are there plans to add it? |
It is not available, no. I think we may be planning to upstream it from secp-zkp to secp, in which case it'll appear in rust-secp256k1....but yes, we definitely do intend to (eventually) create Rust bindings. |
I've started some work on adding Rust bindings for the MuSig module.
Edit: changed link to point to Musig2 working tree
