Selection Rectangle/FFMPEG

• When FFMPEG is installed, there are function type errors (We are running on Fedora 28). What version of FFMPEG is tested?

• Can the selection rectangle that was in desktopstreamer in DisplayCluster be added in Deflect for us to use?

• Can the aspect ratio have an option to be constrained like in DisplayCluster?

sorry for late reply, I missed this issue.

• what we use is > 2.8.15, in a coming release we will require 3.4 (huge improvements related to movie decoding)
• could you please illustrate it? But we currently put Deflect on hold and don't foresee much development.
• Do you mean aspect ratio of a window?

I mean the ability to select a portion of the screen instead of defaulting to the whole screen. Also if I have say 3 monitors on the machine that’s running Deflect, if there’s a way to choose which monitor it is capturing.

you can use multi-window mode (experimental) on OS X build, you cannot select an area but you can achieve similar results by selecting a specific window

That’s good to know. We are on Ubuntu though, does it only work with OS X?
