Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
For now, the API requires a specific version of Minecraft because of breaking changes.

Describe the solution you'd like
Split the API into a different project so a specific Minecraft version can implement the API.

Of course, this requires a ton of work and it might be impossible.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Deal with breaking changes somehow
