treat docx with merged table cell?

if I try to fill the mailmerge field in a table, and if the table has merged cell, doc-mailmerge will un-merge the merged cell.

how can we treat such case? Thanks

What do you mean by "merged" cell ? A cell that has a new value but is still a MERGEFIELD ?
This is not supported yet, I have plans to support keeping fields in the document in my fork of the docx-mailmerge if requested. I have a pretty good idea how to do it and I noticed some other issues for the same feature.
