I would outline this request as

• Perform any upkeep/optimization that markers might benefit from.
• Create an API for the markers addon.
• Add admin functionality to assign BFT markers.

Stretch goals for this may also be:

• Allow FTL's to grab the SL marker when they take over in place of their FT marker, while maintaining the ability to revert or pass off the FT marker.
• Clear or reassign "lost" markers
