Plumbing Points

There is some interest in expanding Brick to incorporate plumbing entities and concepts. This includes:

• Domestic hot water
• Hydronic hot water
• Potable cold water
• Greywater
• Rainwater, etc.

Intent is to bring in more plumbing domain experts for comment and expansion. For now, the points that my colleagues and I propose to include are:

This is a better description for the group than alternatives
Riser	Riser		Location defining a run of pipe typically from one horizontal run of the loop to another of a different elevation with several branches in between. Candidate for Real Estate Core	Some devices and equipment are better described to be on a specific riser, rather than a floor or area of the building
Water Leak Sensor	WaterLeakSensor	Sensor	Sensor that detects the presence of water there should not be, e.g. on the floor	Typical device that is present in the market
Potable Cold Water System	Potable_Cold_Water_System	System	System that supplies drinking water into a building, typically from a municipality or well	Primary water system into a building

Cycle Counter	CycleCount		Telemetry point (not a sensor) that gives the count for the on/off or rise/fall cycles of equipment. May apply to heating cycles, pump cycles, motors, etc.	Number of cycles drives planned maintenance on equipment.
