Cate tries to compute variable statistics (lock) also for Shapefile variables, whose varIndex property is undefined. Respective code does not recognise this.

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Make sure Developer Tools window is open
  2. From OPERATIONS panel, select read_geo_data_collection, select some Shapefile, e.g. Glaciers CCI
  3. Select LAYERS panel, find following exception in Developer Tools:
