EZID deployments are no longer restricted to the early Thursday AM maintenance window due to load balancing capabilities. The documentation should be updated to reflect this.
Current State
Documentation does not indicate under what circumstances deployments are restricted to early Thursday AM window (historically true when deployments required complete service downtime)
Actual Practice
EZID deployments can occur at any time due to the addition of load balancing
Early morning Thursday window is only used for substantial downtime scenarios (which are now rare)
Requested Changes
Review all deployment-related documentation, including in Confluence.
Update any references to deployment timing to reflect current practices, including adding a clear statement about:
Ability to deploy at any time due to load balancing
Use of early Thursday AM window only for substantial downtime scenarios
Normal deployment process maintaining service availability
