As our list of palettes and layers increases it becomes increasingly difficult to manage them. Same with brushes.
It would be a tidier solution to have palettes be drop down collapsible menus in a list format inside one window instead. A scroll bar function added to this means one could open and close whatever palettes they wanted and scroll through them all with ease. This avoids congestion on the screen and makes it far easier to identify what each palette is. The same goes for brushes.
Mine may be an extreme example as I use a lot of layers for my multi-biome maps, but I've already had to hide two windows of palettes just so I have more space on the screen (these layers are only used in combined layers). Having a drop down collapsible list of palettes would tidy up and free up so much screen space.
I appreciate that this request would mean a significant overhaul of the UI and potentially a lot of work.
