Instead, it would be nice to have a distinct interface for scheduled videos which let users know that the video will be premiering, and when, alongside the thumbnail.
Viewers could also have the option of getting notified when the video will "premiere", and have the option of commenting (can be disabled on or off).
Here's how YouTube handles it (little rectangle at the bottom left, with a countdown to the premiere, and a reminder setting button):
