Possible issue with dummy files changing the refresh rate for projectors. Explore using animated GIF, audio files, video files a with variable frame rate, [stub files](http://kodi.wiki/view/Basic_playlists; http://kodi.wiki/view/Media_stubs), plugin URL as dummy files.

plugin URL didn't seem to work, but GIF is promising. We'll need to test with affected users.
